Human Resources
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Assist with recruitment efforts such as posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Support new hire onboarding by preparing documentation and conducting orientations.
- Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, or HR procedures in a professional manner.
- Support Managers and Supervisors with coaching and mentoring Team Members.
- Support health and safety documentation, attendance tracking, and reporting as needed.
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Learn how to process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with provincial and federal laws.
- Verify hours worked, overtime, vacation, and other pay adjustments.
- Review and reconcile payroll reports, ensuring correct pay and deduction calculations.
- Prepare Records of Employment (ROEs), T4s, and other payroll-related documents.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay current on changes to employment standards, tax regulations, and payroll legislation.
- Support audits, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives related to payroll.
- Complete payroll only on a as needed/back up requirement.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-location or multi-provincial environment.
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Dayforce, ADP, Ceridian, or similar).
- Strong understanding of Federal and Province employment and payroll regulations and employment standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- High attention to detail and accuracy with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
