Responsibilities:
- Operate a DZ-class commercial vehicle safely and in compliance with all provincial regulations and company policies.
- Make daily local deliveries and pick ups to customers according to the schedule, in a safe and professional manner
- Prepare and complete all paperwork (BOL) needed
- Review and verify proper material is loaded and delivered
- Strictly adhere to and comply with all health and safety rules
- Complete pre-trip inspections of truck and safely operate equipment
- Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack pull and carry heavy items
- Ability to drive confidentially in a variety of weather, temperature, and road conditions
- Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customers relationships
Qualifications:
- Valid DZ class license
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract
- Comfortable operating 5 ton tandem axle delivery truck, automatic with air brakes
- Organized and keen attention to detail
- Mechanically inclined and knowledgeable about tires
- Physically fit, capable of heavy lifting (100+ pounds)
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
